I don’t know about you, but I have on more than one occasion had to duplicate the print settings from one worksheet to another.
The first time this became necessary for me I wondered – should I do it by going to the Page Setup dialog ont he second sheet and selecting all of the same settings? Or should I make a copy of one sheet and then delete the contents?
Luckily, I kept looking for a better solution and I can now pass it on to you, my loyal subscribers! You could use either of the two methods above, but this solution is easier and more efficient.
Follow the steps below to learn how:
- Select the sheet tab containing the print settings you would like to duplicate.
- Depress and continue to hold down the CTRL key and select the sheet tab(s) you would like to copy the print settings to.
- On the Page Layout tab, click the small arrow on the bottom right of the Page Setup group and click OK.
That’s all there is to it and I think you will agree that this method is a lot better!
IMPORTANT NOTE: There is one caveat and it’s a doozie! Make certain that once you have copied your print settings to multiple sheet tabls, that you right-click on one of the selected sheet tabs and select Ungroup Sheets. Otherwise, you could really wreak havoc in your worksheets because every change you make on one sheet will be duplicated on all of the other grouped sheets.
