Subscribers: Summer is coming to a Close

My commute to work is just about to get a lot worse and I am not happy about it at all.  How so you ask?  School is getting ready to be in session once again, which translates to the expressway being all tied up every day.  How I love the summer – my commute is so quick and easy!  Ah well, I guess we have to sacrifice so the young ones can learn how to make the world a better place.

I am told by my WebMaster that nobody reads my monthly ramblings so I would like to know if you do. Please drop me a line and let me know what you think of this part of the newsletter.

I will be vacationing very shortly and I must say I am really looking forward to it.  Two of my grandchildren will be with us and for that I am grateful – the grandsons.  They keep me young!  I love playing with them.

I have knitted all summer whenever I have a chance and I am building up a little stockpile of mittens and hats for the homeless or the giving tree at my church this winter.  I enjoy the knitting and it will help someone stay warm as well.  If you don’t knit, you should definitely try it.  It is very calming and helps your memory to boot.  It’s almost like meditation.  When you are concentrating on a pattern, there is no room for negative thoughts or guilt or anything like that so it is very calming and it teaches me patience all the time.

I hope you have all been enjoying your summer as I have mine and that you are looking out for your fellow human beings as well.
