Hard to believe that Easter and Passover are upon us isn’t it? I cannot believe I just said that! I have been waiting and pining for Spring! We have had such a long winter it seems and so much snow and ice this year!
I have been counting the days until warm weather. I usually get one cold a year and then I’m good to go, but this year it was a sinus infection and then a cold and then allergies. So finally we have some beautiful weather, sunshine and temps in the seventies. I was in my glory! Warm weather at last! And the peepers are singing in the woods – a regular symphony! Life is good! And then tonight the weather forecast was for the temps to fall at least thirty degrees in the next day or two and we could have some snow! Spring time why oh why do you keep eluding me???
But hope springs eternal! Easter will be this weekend and Passover starts on Tuesday regardless of the weather. I have Hyacinths in bloom and even some Daffodils. It has to get warm and stay warm sooner or later.
My neighbor down the road lost most of his fence this winter. The force of the snow when the plow comes through knocked it down. It looks so sad and forlorn when you pass by it. I think that I shall offer to help them put it back up. Not sure what I can do to help but I will offer – at the very least I could feed them while they work!
That brings me to another subject! In preparation for Easter, yesterday I made eight dozen handmade Easter eggs, Vanilla Buttercream, Coconut Buttercream and Peanut Butter Cream. I have also been busy knitting ducklings for the grandchildren’s baskets. Thus far I have three finished and one more to go! Then I have to stuff them and sew them all up! So yes, Spring will be here regardless of the weather. It is, after all, our spirit that makes Spring come alive for us isn’t it?
I hope that you will find it in your hearts to help your neighbor with their fence or whatever chore they need help with and I hope that you and yours will enjoy a lovely holiday whether it be Easter or Passover.
Let me know how you celebrate! I love to hear from my readers!
Until next time, take care…
