Carol’s Ramblings…

Hello,

The weather is become more appropriate for the time of year and for that I am grateful.  We are still pretty much stuck in the house and when we grocery shop we wear masks and gloves. I really don’t mind being stuck at home so much, but I truly miss my grandchildren.  I would love to be able to hug them again.  Oh they Face time me and send me videos but I can’t really sit with them and just be silly and that’s what grandmother’s do – this one does anyway!

I am hopeful that the majority of people follow the rules that we can stay somewhat safe until a cure and a vaccine are found.  Hopefully that will be fore the Christmas holidays. My daughter mentioned to her son the other day that they may not be able to come to Mom Mom’s for Christmas this year and he was devastated -“Wait, what? you mean we wouldn’t be able to go to Mom Mom’s?”  So hopefully we will all be together with our families in December.

I  do hope that you are all well and that we can soon be with the friends and people we care about. I think I have some good info for you in these posts.  If you are looking for something specific, please let me know.

I’m trying to stay busy with knitting, sewing and embroidery.  I think I’m learning a lot.  Until next time, take care of you please and stay well.  Most of all…be KIND.

Quickly And Easily Delete All Tab Stops in A Document

If you are looking for a quick way to delete all tab stops in your document, this post is for you.  It will save you lots of time and you all know I love that!

While there is no keyboard shortcut to remove tab stops — it is very easy to use the Tabs dialog box to resolve this issue. You can use your  keyboard to open the  Tabs dialog box and make selections within it, which  technically does not count as a keyboard shortcut.

Follow the steps below to learn how:

    1. Press Ctrl+A to select your entire current document.
    2. Display the Home tab of your Ribbon.
    3. At the bottom-right of the Paragraph group, click the small icon to display the dialog box.
    4. Click Tabs at the bottom-left of the dialog box to display the dialog box.
    5. Click Clear All.
    6. Click OK.

Saves you mucho time!

How To Copy A Page Between Two .PDFs Using Thumbnails

I have received more than one inquiry asking me the easiest way to copy a page from one .pdf to another.  I am happy to tell you that it is a lot easier than you probably imagined.

Follow the steps below to learn how:

  1. Open both of your .pdfs and display them side by side, by clicking Window | Tile | Vertically.
  2. Open Page Thumbnails for both PDFs by clicking Page Thumbnails in the left navigation pane.
  3. Drag the page thumbnail into the Page Thumbnail panel of your target .pdf.
  4. The page is then copied into your document and the pages are renumbered for you!

It doesn’t get much easier than that!
