I don’t know about where you all live, but in my neck of the woods, the temperatures have been dipping down to the thirties some nights. I’m not sure I’m ready for that quite yet. I take a walk every morning (approximately two miles or so) and it has been downright cold of late. One day I even had to wear a hat and that is unheard of for me! I wore my gloves too!
But at least it is feeling seasonal and that is a good thing since Thanksgiving is just around the corner. Regardless of nonsense and craziness is going on in the world, I believe we all have things to be thankful for. I am trying as I get older, to remember to be more mindful of the blessings in my life and to be thankful for them. I am trying not to dwell on the negative, just the positive.
I attended a birthday party today and it was down in the city. It made me sad to see so many adults panhandling and begging in the streets of the city. I hope you all are compassionate toward those less fortunate than you. The size of your gift is not that important, just that you give and they know that someone does care.
Wherever you hale from, I hope that you enjoy a lovely Thanksgiving this year surrounded by family and loved ones.
Until next time…
