Transposing data is easy in Excel 2010, as it has been in earlier versions. You can simply use the Transpose feature that is built into the software. But, there is another way that most folks don’t think about – the Paste command!
Follow the steps below to learn how:
- Select the data that you would like to transpose and copy it to the Clipboard by clicking CTRL + C.
- Select the top left cell of your range to which you want to copy the transposed data.
- Click the Home tab if necessary.
- In the Clipboard group, click the Paste drop-down and click Transpose.
That really is all there is to it. Excel’s Paste command will quickly transpose your data.
