It is true that you can copy and paste to accomplish this task, but that can become very confusing very quickly. Follow the steps below to see how easily you can move rows up and down in your Word table:
- Place your cursor in the row you would like to move.
- Click Shift + Alt and use the up and down arrows on your keyboard.
If you click in a row and use the Shift + Alt + Up Arrow the row will immediately move up. Conversely, if you use the key combination and the down arrow, the row will immediately move down.
This key combination will also work for other elements in your documents, such as paragraphs. It will also work with bulleted list items.
