Word comes with a very quick and flexible search engine. You can find anything you want in your Word document by just using a key combination shortcut, including non-printing characters!
The on problem (for me, anyway), is that when I click on CTRL + F to find something in my document, the Navigation pane opens to the left of my screen and obscures some of the text in my document so that I cannot see everything horizontally.
I have found a way around this and will now share it with you!
- Follow the steps below to learn how:
- Use the Navigation pane as you normally would.
- Once you have found the first occurrence of what you are looking for, click your ESC key and the Navigation pane will disappear.
- To find the next occurrence, simply click Shift + F4.
This workaround works the same as clicking Next Search Result only it is FAST and saves time and keystrokes!
