So, in previous posts I have told you how to recover items in Outlook and so it is only fair that I explain a little further where those items that you need to recover ultimately End up.
Those items that you select to recover will be restores to their original folders when possible. However, if an original folder has ceased to exist, those items will be store like this:
- Messages go to your inbox.
- Calendar items go to your calendar.
- Contacts go to your contacts folder.
- Tasks go to your tasks folder.
- Makes sense right?
Now, something else you should know. You should stop Outlook from emptying your Deleted Items folder every time you sign out of Outlook.
Follow the steps below to learn how:
- At the top of your page, select Settings.
- Select Message handling.
- Under When signing out, uncheck the box next to the Empty my deleted items folder.
