Well, Summer is just about finished – over – kaput! It was great while it lasted though, wasn’t it?
We took a small vacation with my daughter and her husband and children and went to the beach. The first couple of days were great! We took the children to the boardwalk and my oldest grandson got to go on the rides and eat on the boardwalk. He also got to go to the beach and frolic in the ocean with his daddy. He went to the pool with his dad and played in the children’s fountain. He had a great time. His little brother is too young to do any of that.
Everything was fine until the third day and then my grandson woke up from his nap burning up with a fever and he was delirious and so his parents took him and his little brother home and we went home the next day. I am grateful though that they were able to enjoy those three days though. Turns out my grandson had the Hand, Foot, Mouth virus and a couple of days later his brother had it and then so did I! No fun I can assure you but I would rather be with the boys than without them!
So I am hoping that you have all had a nice vacation to recharge your batteries and get geared up for the Fall and coming Winter months. I would love to hear about your vacations!
I finished knitting a scarf for my daughter and made a little pair of Santa mittens for my youngest grandson. I need to get busy and work on a pair for my oldest grandson and a pair for both of my granddaughters. Have to keep it fair. In my “spare” time I am crocheting a blanket for my oldest grandson’s bed.
I still manage to work full time and publish this newsletter so I think I am ok. Below are pictures of the little mittens I knitted.
Take care of you until the next time and remember to be kind to and help your fellow human beings!
