One of the very first things that I teach in an Word training class is how to use the scroll bars because they allow you to change the part of your document that you want to view. You can use the bottom horizontal scroll bar to view the right side of your document, which is pretty obvious from the way the marker is positioned on the scroll bar.
You may have occasions when you are working in Normal or Draft View and you want to move your document to the right so you can view a bit more of the left margin. There is an easy fix for this.
Follow the steps below to learn how:
- Depress your Shift key and click on the left-pointing scroll arrow.
- To again view your document properly, just scroll to the left.
Please note that this tip only works if you are using the Normal, Draft or Outline View. The reason is simple – in Print Layout View, MS Word displays the full left margin area of your document and there is no need to scroll to the left.
