Ever wish you could send out an e-mail and have the person receiving it respond to someone other than yourself? Well trust me, you are not alone! Outlook gets it – you are very busy and you cannot be expected to take care of every little thing in your organization. This is where redirecting responses comes into play.
A lot of folks, no, more like most folks, will take a quick glance at your e-mail, and regardless of whether you state in that message that you would like them to reply to a different person, they will just hit the reply button and reply to you. Yes, it can be maddening.
Follow the steps below to redirect replies to someone else:
- Open a new e-mail message by using the CTRL + N shortcut.
- Click on Options.
- Click on the More Options arrow.
- Under Delivery Options, select Have Replies Sent To.
- Key in the e-mail address or select an address from your address book. You can also have more than one e-mail address in the Have Replies Sent To field.
Now admit it, that certainly makes your life a little easier, right?
