A lot of folks are not aware that Word will allow you to control where your Endnotes appear in your document. You have the option of having them appear at the end of your document, or, if you use sections in your document, you can have them appear at the end of each section.
If you do not use sections, there really is no difference in the options, but if you DO use sections, there is a big difference in where you place your Endnotes.
Follow the steps below to learn how:
- Click on the References tab of your Ribbon.
- Click the small arrow at the right-hand bottom of the Footnotes group to display the Footnote and Endnote dialog box.
- Select the Endnotes button.
- Using the drop-down list to the right of the Endnotes button, select where you would like to have you Endnotes placed.
- Click on Apply.
