You can customize the Ribbon in Word 2010. Follow the steps below to learn how to add AutoText to your Ribbon:
- Click File | Options | Customize Ribbon.
- From the Choose commands from window, select Commands not in the Ribbon. Relative commands will display in the window beneath.
- Use your scroll bar to navigate to the AutoText command and select the AutoText command.
- In the Customize the Ribbon window, select Main Tabs, Ribbon Tab names/commands display in the window below.
- In the Customize the Ribbon command window, select Insert | Text.
- Click the New Group button at the bottom of the dialog box.
- A new command titled New Group (custom) will appear in the window.
- Select the New Group Custom command.
- Click the Rename button to launch the dialog box.
- Key in a name for your new Custom Group.
- Click OK.
- Click OK at the Word Options dialog box to execute the process.
