Wow! Summer has definitely arrived! It is 98 degrees in my little corner of the world today. I thank my lucky stars every night for air conditioning! I love to have the windows open and hear the birds singing and the other sounds of nature but when it is time to sleep at night I need my air. The heat in my hometown today is oppressive. When you walk out the door it feels as if you are walking into a wall. It should be a bit cooler tomorrow but I think I will be doing my walking/running on the indoor treadmill rather than outside.
Thank you all for your well wishes regarding my husband's illness. He is unfortunately, still having health issues so I really appreciate you good thoughts and prayers. Your support is very gracious and kind.
We will be having the annual Independence Parade in my town again this year and I really want to attend. I enjoy watching all the kids, neighbors, etc. What I most enjoy are the pretty fireworks after dark. Hopefully I will get to see them this year. Keep your fingers crossed for me!
On this Independence Day, please take a moment and remember all the brave men and women who fought to keep our country free.
The quote for the day is:
A good motivation is what is needed: compassion without dogmatism, without complicated philosophy' just understanding that others are human brothers and sisters and respecting their human rights and dignities. That we humans can help each other is one of our unique human capacities. - - Tenzin Gyatso, Fourteenth Dalai Lama

Match the Worksheet with the Job in MS Excel
When you insert a worksheet using the Insert | Worksheet menu option, MS Excel automatically bases the new sheet on the default template. But you may not want to insert just a blank worksheet. Suppose your company uses a special Client Tracking template. A workbook is dedicated to each client and there could be several case worksheets in each workbook. Rather than a blank worksheet, you may want to insert a blank Client Tracking template.
Luckily, you can select the template that MS Excel uses to create a new worksheet.
- Instead of clicking on Insert | Worksheet from the menu bar, right-click on a worksheet tab and then select Insert from the shortcut menu.
- The Insert dialog box will open, displaying the templates on your PC.
- Select the appropriate template.
- Click OK.
Add a Decimal Tab to a Single Table Cell in PowerPoint
To align a number to a decimal tab in a table cell, you must insert a tab character before the number in a PowerPoint 2007 table.
Follow the steps below to learn how:
- In the Navigation pane, click the slide that you want to edit.
- If you do not see the Ruler, click to select the Ruler check box in the Show/Hide group on the View tab.
- Position the cursor in front of the number that you want to align in the table.
- Click CTRL + Tab to insert a tab character before the number.
- On the left-hand side of the horizontal ruler, click Left Tab three times to change to Decimal Tab.
- On the horizontal ruler, click the location where you want to place the tab.
