[May 1, 2010]

I just hung a new birdhouse on one of our trees today. It looks really cute and I am hoping that it will attract more songbirds to our property. There will be more bird houses and bird feeders going up around here. I love to watch the birds flitting in and out of their houses and bullying each other at the feeding trough. It provides great entertainment for me.

I live in a very rural area and to my dismay this morning I found that a small animal got into some sort of disagreement and definitely was not the winner of that argument by the looks of my front sidewalk. I am bowed by life's little tragedies even though I know and understand the circle of life and the food chain. I guess it cannot be a bad thing to exhibit compassion for living things right?

Please be patient if you have sent me an e-mail in the last several weeks or so and have not heard from me. Bbear in mind that I receive hundreds of e-mails every day so please be patient. I will respond as soon as I am able.
