[April 15, 2010]

We have just celebrated Easter here and are now fully into Spring. It is so nice to go outdoors without layers of sweaters and jackets!

I am endeavoring to walk ten thousand steps every day, which doesn't sound like much but it turns out to be five miles. I always get to work forty-five minutes to an hour early and so I am now using that time to walk. I was really surprised by how many steps my little half hour walk used. I find it is very relaxing to start my day in this manner. I noticed the tulips, daffodills, lillies of the valley, etc. that I have never noticed before. I was so engrossed in nature that I didn't even notice the cars on the road! When I got back to the office I felt energized and ready to settle down and work! It is difficult to walk ten thousand steps a day when you are sitting at a desk, but at least I am now a lot more aware of just how inactive I am and I can do something about it. No more elevators for me! I will take the steps and I walk up to the floor where I parked my car as well.

Make sure you set aside even just a little bit of time to get outdoors and clear the cobwebs from your brain. It will make you feel good and you will sleep better as well. Whatever you are doing to celebrate Springtime, I hope you are enjoying it to the fullest.

ActiveWordsReview

Buzz Bruggeman, one of the team members of ActiveWords contacted me and asked me if I would like to take a look at their product and review it. Well I did and boy am I glad! I don't know how I got along without it! It is such a TIME SAVER and you all know how I feel about that!

You all know that I rarely recommend products in this newsletter unless it is one that I deem to be worthy of the time and space it takes in the newsletter. It has to be good enough for me to share with my loyal subscribers.
This is one of those times.

ActiveWords is an application that allows users to name and directly access all their favorite places from any context at any time. For example, whatever I am doing on my computer, I can simply type FB and I am immediately taken to Facebook. I can key in Word and MS Word will open for me. The list goes on and on. You are only limited by your own imagination!

With this handy little application you no longer have to stop and click on the desktop icon to open your Internet browser. You can create your own names for anything that you want it to do for you. It works across different device platforms too! The same words produce results on your PC, laptop, Palm device, mobile phone, etc.

You have to try this program to believe it. And best of all, it's FREE! Sure, once you use the free version, you will most likely want the full version but guess what? It is very reasonably priced. Wait until you see how much time this dandy program will save for you. But wait - there's more! There are even free services that you can download to complement the program!!

You owe it to yourself to hop on over to ActiveWords and download your copy today and when you do, please be sure to tell Buzz that Carol sent you!
