[October 15, 2009]
There is a definite chill in the air now and it gets dark very quickly after five thirty in the evening. The winter clothing is in the closet, the cat has gotten her winter fur and the mice are scurrying, trying to get indoors for the winter. The Fall foliage is absolutely beautiful to take in. When the sun hits the trees at just the right angle, they look aflame with color! I am truly blessed to live in the country where I can see all this pageantry take place with a front row seat. The older I get the more I see miracles everywhere in nature. I hope I never get too old or jaded to see the beauty in a Fall sunset or the glory of the sun shining on wet leaves and spider webs.
No matter where you are located in this big old world of ours, I hope you are taking the time to enjoy the changing of the seasons. We're all busy and try to cram in as much as we can every day, but try to find at least five or ten minutes to center yourself, still the noise and just be. You will be amazed at the change and you can then see things with a clearer eye and enjoy the changes that are taking place all around you.
