Here we are again – the weather is cooling and I have to wear my warm up jacket when I take my daily morning walk. It has been brisk some mornings of late, which I guess is a good thing because it makes me walk faster! I am trying to psyche myself up so that I will not stop my daily morning exercise when it gets really cold out there! I do dread and despise doing my exercising indoors on a treadmill at the end of my day and I am far too lazy to get up extra early to do it before I start my day. I far prefer being outdoors when I walk. I do some of my best thinking then!
Halloween will be here very quickly. I never have trick or treaters where I live but I still like to decorate for the different seasons and holidays. The grandchildren love it when they come to visit. The lineup for Halloween costumes for the grands this year is: Fireman, Captain Rex (from Star Wars), Wonder Woman, and a Princess. It is such fun to see them so excited. I usually try to go with them if I can when they trick or treat – it is so much fun and I don’t want to miss any of that.
I think you will find this month’s articles informative and helpful. At least I hope you will! If there is anything in particular that you would like me to cover in future articles, please let me know and I will do my best to accommodate you.
Lastly but not least, as the weather is turning cooler, please try to remember the homeless and treat them with kindness and dignity. I am trying to keep clear freezer bags in my car with soap, wet ones, gum, crackers or cookies, toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, etc. in them. Then when I see a homeless person, I just hand them the bag and I usually try to put at least $2.00 to $5.00 in it as well so they can purchase something to eat. I hope you will consider doing the same.
And for goodness sake, don’t forget to smile at everyone you meet! It could make a huge difference in their day!
Until next time, take care…
