If you have a table that you find yourself having to use over and over, perhaps for a quarterly meeting, etc. why go through all the aggravation of recreating it from scratch?
Luckily Word does not like to make you do things the most difficult and time consuming way! You can save yourself a lot of time, trouble and keystrokes using a Building Block.
Follow the steps below to learn how:
Open the document containing the table you would like to recreate.
- Select the entire table
- Click Alt+F3 to display the Create New Building Block dialog box.
- Replace any contents of the Name field with the name of your choosing for your table.
- Use the Gallery drop-down list to choose AutoText.
- Click on OK.
Now, when you want to use this newly recreated table, just key in the name you specified above and click the F3 key. Your table will be inserted in the place of the table name.
