If you compose a lot of letters as a part of your employment, this is a real time and keystroke saver!
You can store common addresses – the ones you find yourself keying in over and over – in Building Blocks. In so doing, you can key in just the first or last name of the person whose address you want, click F3 and the address is automatically entered for you!
Follow the steps below to learn how to do this:
- Select the paragraphs that contain the address you have keyed in.
- Click Alt + F3 to display the Create New Building Block dialog.
- Replace the contents of the Name field with the name you would like to assign to the address (i.e., bratt).
- Use the Gallery drop-down list to select AutoText.
- Click on OK.
Now when you want that address inserted into your document, simply key in the name assigned to is and click F3.
Quick and easy and such a time saver!
