Folks who are used to using older iterations of Microsoft Office feel that the Ribbon is the bane of their existence, so this little tip is for you! I am going to show you how to hide a worksheet in your workbook quickly and easily.
Follow the step below (that’s right, one step!):
- Right-click the worksheet tab that you would like to hide and select Hide.
Your sheet is hidden!
The reverse is also true:
- Right-click one of the remaining tabs in your worksheet and select Unhide.
- Select the worksheet that you would like visible in your workbook from the menu that displays.
- Click OK.
Presto! Your worksheet appears in your workbook again.
Of course, this is a simple and easy way to hide a worksheet in your workbook but the caveat here is that it is not secure if anyone else will be using it. If you send this workbook to anyone else they can simply unhide your worksheet, look at it and change it.
This method though, is good for hiding tabs that do not need to be visible to the universe and might cause them some confusion.
I hope this has been helpful to you!
