That’s what I keep telling myself – only ten more weeks until Spring! We have had such bone chilling cold weather this year that I find myself longing for Spring even more zealously than I normally do!
We had a wonderful Christmas holiday and a healthy and happy New Years celebration. We celebrated quietly at home. I like to reflect on what has transpired throughout the year, look at ways that I have changed for better or for worse. I don’t really make resolutions. Instead I just resolve to try and be a better person in the coming year, to be kinder and gentler with others and more generous and giving not just of my money but myself. Hopefully, I will be successful. The important thing is that I try.
I have enjoyed my grandchildren immensely during the holiday season. I was in my glory holding the new babies and playing with the one and a half and two and a half year old. I am very happy to report that my grandson who was born with severe reflux and a feeding problem is now doing very well. I watched him eat a half a sandwich the other day and said a silent prayer of thanks that he is now able to do that.
I hope that you all enjoyed your holidays as much as I did and that you had enough to eat and warm clothes and a roof over your head. If you had all that, you are more fortunate than at least half the world. Please remember the other half of the world in your prayers.
So, the countdown begins now for me…waiting to hear the peepers and I will know that Spring is in the offing. It will be a while yet, but I am still listening…ever hopeful.
Thank you all who wrote to me to wish me glad tidings during the holidays. I always enjoy hearing from all of you.
Remember, if there is something in particular that you would like to see covered in a post, please let me know.
Until next time…take care and be kind to one another.
